世界規模の構造調整

今週の水曜日、木曜日もお天気が崩れ、場合によっては雪になるかもしれないそうだ。今年の気圧配置は暖冬傾向を示しており、上越のスキー場は決して雪が多いわけではない。

普段あまり雪が多くないところで雪が積もっているので、暖房用重油が倍近くに値上がり、生産地では手取りを考えるとなかなか思い切って温度を上げきれないところだと思う。出荷量は例年にないほど少なく、切り花では1月以降１０％くらい少ないと思われる日が続いている。週末の度に雪が降るので、消費者は例年よりもかなり寒いと感じており、ガーデニング素材はさっぱり売れ行きが伸びないのも今年の特徴である。

第3四半期、第4四半期を見る限り、過去2年間停滞していた相場もなべ底とはいえ底を打ったようであるが、構造調整はこれから急テンポで進むものと思われる。このことは日本国内だけに留まらない。先週の金曜日、世界第2位を誇るオランダの花市場であるウェストランド花市場と第3位のフローラ花市場が合併するというニュースが飛び込んできた。また、同日の夜、オランダから来た友人からアルスメール市場内の優秀な輸出業者であるベルハーが倒産したことを聞いた。花き業界においても世界規模で構造調整が進んでいる。どの会社も生き残れるという保証はない。今後をどう読み、キャッシュフロー経営（リスクマネッジメント、カスタマーリレーションシップマネッジメント）をしていくか。当面の日本の花き流通業者のポイントはここにあるのではなかろうか。

Worldwide RestructuringThe weather forecast says it may be snowing this Wednesday and Thursday again. We have had heavy snows so many times this year in not snowy areas, however, the distribution of atmosphere pressure shows a rather mild winter. Ski resorts can not be said to have enough snow.

This unusual climate has caused a rapid rise in prices of crude petroleum as well as it has driven growers to keep the temperature of their greenhouses lower. A case this year is that the shipment is much smaller than usual, for example, smaller by 10% in cut flowers since January. As another case, gardening tools are not in much demand influenced by these repeated snows.

Worldwide restructuring will radically be pushed on although the prices, which had been falling for 2 years, seemingly stopped falling as far as the result of the third and forth quarters shows. The fluctuated economy has spread worldwide not only in Japan. I heard the news that the second biggest flower market in the world, Westland Market in Holland, and the third flower market, Flora Market, are merging, reported last Friday. What is more, one of the finest exporters has gone bankrupt, said my Dutch friend who I met last Friday evening. Nobody can guarantee any company will survive in such worldwide restructuring of floriculture service. The point is how to predict the future and progress risk management and customer-relationship management.
